A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR EVAN
Dear Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I hope and pray that our website gives you a glimpse into our growing, vital congregation. We are a group of ordinary people who believe we can accomplish extraordinary things as we seek to reach out in love to all.
Here is a bit about what we believe & do as a church family:
We believe in God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are committed to upholding the importance of God’s Word for our lives. We believe that Jesus Christ offers forgiveness of sins, and this makes possible a real and meaningful relationship with Him. We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers each Christian with spiritual gifts that allow us to build the kingdom of God.
Here at Belvidere UMC, our worship includes teaching and preaching of the Bible, celebration of the holy sacraments of baptism and communion; there are opportunities for fellowship and study; mission and outreach projects; children and youth ministry; and numerous other ministries for all ages. We welcome all people as we seek to minister in God’s name. Ultimately, it is our desire that people come to place their trust in Jesus Christ to forgive and to lead them, and that they may grow in their relationship with Him as they serve others.
Whether you have been a member of this congregation for decades, or whether you are visiting us for the first time, you are loved and you have a place here. May God’s blessing be with you and God’s grace uphold you, for He is sufficient for every need.
